If you have issues after applying KB3201845, Rick over at Whats On My PC may have first found it. Apparently Microsoft is displaying a banner on their Windows 10 History page that says to restart NOT shutdown. We experienced the issue Friday thinking a DNS issue had appeared – however, after his clues on restarting, we made sure the KB was on and restarted the affected machines – fixing whatever issue appeared with the KB.
The KB is a little over 900mb which is beginning to tax our resources (huge updates). While we use a WSUS server, computers that receive the update and shutdown may ‘see’ the problem. Here’s a link to the KB for a full download if you have a lot of computers.
