Advanced Windows Cleanup using cleanmgr /sageset:50 and cleanmgr /sagerun:50

Want to clean Windows?  We always recommend CCleaner or Bleachbit.  But did you know you can further cleanup Windows by using cleanmgr /sageset:50  and selecting all of the boxes of different logs, previous Windows and More.

As we discovered during recent upgrades, the cleaning function of windows can help to get rid of various files you no longer need.  This article was written during a step by step exercise in class as a demo.

Note: Do NOT Delete Windows ESD installation files. These files are NEEDED to Reset or Refresh your PC.

Right click on your menu and select Run.  Type cleanmgr /sageset:50 and hit OK.

Use the sagerun switch to run the cleanup.  cleanmgr /sagerun:50
