MySQL – Antelope and Barracuda – Moodle

If you are running Moodle LMS or running MySQL, your application and your MySQL database may need to be converted to Barracuda instead of Antelope.  The default InnoDB table format (Antelope) may have bugs and many administrators recommend that you change the table to Barracuda.

In Moodle, on the server, change to the PHP directory.  Run the command –

php c:\inetpub\wwwroot\yourfolder\admin\cli\mysql_compressed_rows.php -l

This will identify the tables that need to be fixed.

Now run the command again with the -f switch.

php c:\inetpub\wwwroot\yourfolder\admin\cli\mysql_compressed_rows.php -f
