Hidden Applications Folder in Windows 8.1 – Make a desktop shortcut

Want to see all of your programs in one window?  Go to the run line and type –

explorer shell:::{4234d49b-0245-4df3-b780-3893943456e1}

Applications

Much like Godmode, you can create a new folder on your desktop and name the folder –

Applications.{4234d49b-0245-4df3-b780-3893943456e1}

This will create a shortcut to all of your applications(programs).

Godmode is created by typing the following as a name of a folder on your desktop –

GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}

To understand these entries, they are simply giving a name to the folder followed by a period (.) and then a registry entry.  So basically you can create other folders to take you to shortcuts by using the naming convention above.
