If you use Remote Desktop, you want to protect the session from being intercepted by malicious users. Microsoft has an update that updates the DTLS protocol. This protocol’s update is found under the optional Windows updates. If you are an administrator or if you use Remote Desktop, be sure to include this optional update.
The DTLS protocol provides communications privacy. The protocol allows client and server applications to communicate in a way that is designed to prevent eavesdropping, tampering, or message forgery. This update is required only if you intend to use Remote Desktop. (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2574819)
