Minimum Processor State option in the Advanced options of Power Plan Settings

Does your laptop or desktop seem slow and sluggish?  Have you cleaned it with CCleaner and scanned for malware and viruses?  If it is clean, it could be the Minimum Processor State.

If you have a 2.8ghz CPU, the CPU will run slower and you may need to set your minimum higher if you really use your computer and have CPU intensive applications.  If the minimum is set to 50%, your CPU may go as low as 1.4ghz.

If you set your the minimum processor state to 1%-5% and maximum to 100%,  it will drop to 1% or 5% preserve battery life.
Always make sure your vents and fan are clean and you’ll need to tweak this setting to match how you use of your computer.Image
