Reset Microsoft Access 2010 Autonumber

For Databases in Development (pre-production)

If you have developed a database and used autonumber to fill a field automatically, there is an easy way to reset the number.

Delete the test data in your database’s table prior to placing the database in production.

Close the table and any associated reports and queries.

Select File, Info and Click on the Compact and Repair database.   This will reset the numbers.
