To give you some perspective, the fastest consumer processors such as Intel’s Core i7 top out at six cores. According to the Daily Mail, the 1,000-core processor processes 5 gigabytes data per second, and that’s “20 times faster than modern computers.”

I know this sound like a possibility but the software is incapable of utilizing it at that level. We have trouble writing programs to utilize 2 cores let alone 1000.

I agree; but the advancement is going so quickly that after being in this for 20+ years, the software will eventually catch up.
