EasyWeather Station – A personal weather station

leave a comment »

The EasyWeather Station is less than $160.  With the ability to measure wind speed, wind direction, humidity, temperature inside and out and dozens of other features including the ability to upload the data to the internet, EasyWeather is a great deal for weather enthusiast.  Being completely wireless, the station transmits data from the station to a touch screen which is connected to a computer.

After receiving our station, Danny (student), Andrew (student) and several others helped to install and configure the station.  Carlton and Mike (students) helped to upload the data to Weather Underground. Station KTNSHELB3.

Even more awesome is Weather Underground’s interactive weather map. Link (Now the school is linked to Google Maps and Weather Underground’s radar map)

Smallest Motherboard

leave a comment »

With an extra 4 core AMD processor hanging out along with a hard drive and DDR2 memory, I think my next project will be a ZOTAC itx motherboard and case.     At a little over $80, I think it’ll be a good little project and a happy replacement for my old computer.  Link

Want to build an itx system?  Here’s a great article.

So what is the smallest motherboard?  Possibly the BeagleBoard.
