The attachment size exceeds the allowable limit

with 3 comments

If Microsoft Outlook gives the error “the attachment size exceeds the allowable limit”.  You can place the following in a notepad document -

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Outlook\Preferences]
“MaximumAttachmentSize”=dword:00100000

change 100000 which is = 100 mb to what ever number you want -

Example 30 mb would be 030000

save the document as outlook.reg (not as a txt file – use the all files option when saving)

Double click on it.   This will make a registry entry and allow outlook to attach larger files.  This does not mean that your provider will allow this size.  Check with your provider to see the maximum size.
