Add Search Internet to Start Menu – Use Google
1. In the Search Box, type GPEDIT.MSC and press Enter. The Group Policy Editor will start.
2. Go to User Configuration – Administrative Templates -Start Menu and Taskbar.
3. Double-click “Add Search Internet link to Start Menu,” Select Enabled. -Click OK Exit the Editor
When you enter something into the search box, The Search Internet menu will appear. Clicking on this opens the internet and uses your DEFAULT search engine to search the web.
Create a Power Report in Windows 7
Want to create a power report to see how to create a power scheme for your laptop?
- Create a folder called power under the c: drive.
- Open a command prompt as the administrator
- type powercfg -energy -output \power\Energy_Report.html
1. Click on Windows 7 Start Button
2. Go to All Programs-> Accessories
3. Now right on Command Prompt and select “Run as Administrator”
After 60 seconds, a report will be generated in the c:\power folder . Double click on the report.
