Secure PDFs can be read using Google

PDFs have several settings to encrypt and password protect documents.   Opening a document in Google as html can present the document contents even if they are password protected (sometimes).   Amazingly, I have been told that this is true of Apple’s preview program.   Some readers have reported that this is also true of excel documents.

Someone suggested that Google fix this.   The problem is…well if they (Google) fix this, someone else can produce the code locally and use it to read contents.

What should you do?  Encrypt and password protect the contents.   Another good article on this.  Link
