Copy Files Faster

If you want to copy files faster, you can use Copy Handler or BeyondCopy.  These are two excellent tools that take advantage of your network or operating systems ability to move files (especially large amounts) from one drive to another or across your network.

Now with people who truly work IT or the home user who is quite savvy, these tools are great.  Mike recently was copying the contents of a folder (huge is an understatement) from one drive to another.  This process took minutes just to go through the right click/copy process.   You can bet he and I will do this (use these programs) when we are in a pinch.

Beyondcopy is designed for your network and runs a server (the program must be on both computers).  Silly as it sounds, this helps the transfer speed when moving these files.

BeYond Copy

Copy Handler (the more convient of the two) gives good details and performs excellent when moving or copying files.

The most efficient for everyday use is still Teracopy
